🪒 How long can my hair be for the BOLD Shaver to work perfectly?

No need to worry – the BOLD Shaver handles hair between 3 and 6 mm in length perfectly. Even after 12 days of hair growth, it delivered a reliable and close shave in our practical test. Want to see it for yourself? Check out the YouTube video here!

⚡ Why is your shaver better than the Remington or Skullshaver?

Both are solid devices – no question.

But the BOLD Shaver has a few smart advantages:

  • Magnetic shaving head – for easy cleaning without any fiddling
  • USB-C port – charge with the same cable as your smartphone
  • Travel protection function – prevents accidental switching on while on the go
  • Sharper blades & more ergonomic shaving head – for a particularly gentle shave

🚿 Is the BOLD Shaver waterproof – can I use it in the shower?

The BOLD Shaver is IPX6-certified , which means it can withstand splashes of water.

🌀 Does the shaving head adapt to the shape of my head or is the shaving head a rigid plate?

Absolutely! The razor head is articulated and adapts smoothly and ergonomically to the shape of your head. This ensures a particularly close, gentle, and even shave , even on difficult and uneven areas. Simply glide over it with a little pressure – the rest practically happens automatically!

🪒 A few stubbles remain! Any tips for the perfect shave with the BOLD Shaver?

Of course! For the best results, we recommend:

🔄 Slow, circular movements against the hair growth with a little pressure – this brings the most thorough shave

🧴 Even better: Use our bald shampoo or shaving cream as a lubricant. This not only makes shaving more effective but also more comfortable for your skin.

😷 My razor smells bad. What can I do?

🔍 Main reasons for the musty odor:

→ Especially common with devices that can’t fully dry (e.g., shaving heads with small cavities, foam seals, etc.).

→ If the shaver isn’t cleaned thoroughly and regularly, it becomes an ideal breeding ground for microorganisms — which causes the musty smell.

→ If the device is closed, packed away, or stored in a tight drawer right after cleaning, the odor can develop even faster.

What you can do (and should avoid in the future):

Clean and disinfect thoroughly, then let all parts dry completely (preferably on a towel or paper) before reassembling.

Technology & accessories of the BOLD SHAVER

💦 The razor squeaks or makes an unpleasant/strange noise. What should I do?

If this occurs, we recommend that you oil the razor blades with a shaving head oil - after this, all annoying noises will disappear and you will have additionally cared for your blades.

We generally recommend oiling the razor head regularly, which will extend the life of the blades.

The NOVICIDE Blade Care Spray is best suited for this — also available in our shop.

🚧 The shaver displays error code "188." What can I do?

If the shaver is subjected to excessive load, the motor protection system is triggered. If charging with a power adapter over 5W, the battery indicator may jump or flash.


  1. Remove the magnetic razor blade from the razor and start the razor

  2. Let it run for about 30-60 seconds.

  3. Turn off the razor

  4. Put the razor blade on it and restart it

Once the load is reduced, it works perfectly again.

Therefore, please use a power supply with a maximum of 5W.

🔌 What is the maximum power output of my charger?

Important note on charging your razor:

- Please only use a standard USB charger with a maximum output of 5 watts (e.g., 5 V / 1 A). For example, a simple smartphone power adapter.

- Fast chargers or power supplies with higher power (e.g. USB-C Power Delivery or Quick Charge) are not suitable and can lead to overheating - in the worst case even to a fire or explosion .

Cleaning:

When cleaning the Bold Shaver, the razor blades can be cleaned under running water.

The razor itself is protected against splashes of water with an IPX 6 rating. Water penetration can cause the razor to malfunction. Therefore, it should be stored in a dry place.

🔩 What material is the BOLD Shaver made of?

Our shaver combines high-quality materials :

The housing is made of robust plastic , which makes it pleasantly light – ideal for daily shaving or on the go.

The self-developed razor blades are made of stainless steel – durable, sharp, and safe for the skin.

There's suddenly an oil film on the Shaver housing — where does it come from?

The visible film is not a defect, but a lubricating and sealing oil that we use inside the head module of your shaver.

It ensures that your shaver runs smoothly and remains permanently waterproof.

At higher temperatures, the oil can become slightly thinner and may seep into the surrounding groove. This is completely normal – especially during the first few uses, when a bit more oil has been applied at the factory.

Simply wipe the affected area thoroughly once or twice with a cloth and then place the shaver in an upright position. In most cases, no more oil will appear afterward.

Questions about purchasing

📦 I want to return an item – how do I proceed?

Of course, you can return your order within the 30-day return period.

The return can only be made if:

  • if the razor has been disinfected
  • Everything is in original packaging, including box, instructions, brush, charging cable

Simply contact our customer service at support@betterbebold.eu – we will help you quickly.

Important: For hygiene reasons, opened or used care products such as the baldness cream cannot be returned unless there is a product defect.

🙁 What if I'm not satisfied with the shaver? Is there a return policy?

Of course! You have a 30 -day return policy with us, no questions asked. If you're not satisfied, simply contact our support team.

You return the razor to us at your own expense, and we will refund your money once we receive the goods.

Important: If the razor is undamaged, we can only accept returns if the razor is returned in its original packaging, including all accessories, and disinfected.

🌍 Your shaver isn't "100% Made in Germany." Is it a Chinese imitation?

Transparency is important to us: We've never claimed it's handmade in Germany. Our BOLD Shaver is produced in close collaboration with specialized partners in Asia —just like EVERY electric razor on the market.

However, the design, development and our quality standards, together with TÜV SÜD Germany, come from Germany – we test every device thoroughly and our name stands for longevity, functionality and fair prices .

The BOLD Shaver is definitely not a “Chinese imitation” – but a well-thought-out product with honest origins and genuine standards.

Our care products, on the other hand, are all 100% handmade in Germany!
